"freedom isn’t the external ability to satisfy every gratification; it’s the internal ability not to be enslaved."

- Pastor Barry on Matthew 5:27 (10/30).

God doesn’t ask us to choose him because He can give us light, but he pleads for us to choose him because He IS light. God’s love covers a multitude of sins and hurts yet we seek after darkness in things like money and pride…

So..the way I came to writing this post was after thinking about my attitude towards food this semester. lol!  My view on snacking freely, helping myself to second desserts, and complying to late night pizza/snacking, was simply: “When else will I be able to enjoy eating whatever/whenever I please?!”

But after seeing how I couldn’t even run half of what I used to around the esplanade, my recurring cravings for sweets and cookies at the oddest hours, and then my overall lethargy all the time. I realize that I’ve been a slave to junk food.

And that’s how I remembered this awesome quote, and how I started looking back at and reflecting upon old sermon notes.

And how I decided that I’m going to the gym once a at least every other day during finals week. lehgo!
